What We Do At WIN
Our Goal at WIN
Women Inspiring and Networking (WIN) supports equal rights and remedies for women in all phases of their lives including economic equity and affordable, adequate healthcare. WIN denounces all violence against women.
Member Driven
WIN is a member-driven organization that strives to enhance the professional lives of our members by affording them opportunities to support, empower and inspire each other through business connections and relationships.
Our History
WIN was previously known as Business and Professional Women (BPW/USA) and Minnesota Business Women (MBW). The National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club was founded in 1919 to improve working conditions and pay for women in the workplace. The Minnesota BPW club was founded in 1920. The Willmar Area BPW was founded in 1980.
In 2009, Business and Professional Women/USA and Business and Professional Women's Foundation merged. The Minnesota chapter voted to separate from the national organization and became Minnesota Business Women in 2010. In 2020, the state organization disbanded and the Willmar Area BPW chose to continue as an independent organization and changed our name from Business and Professional Women (BPW) to Women, Inspiring and Networking (WIN).

WIN Board of Directors
WIN's Board of Directors keeps the organization's wheels turning. The board includes an Executive Committee consisting of the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. It also includes Directors of Programs, Membership and Social Media. The Board meets monthly with the top priority of making sure members get the most for their dues. They identify new opportunities and new connections in the community, keep the members informed about WIN's events and updates, and work together to help lead and guide WIN as it continues to grow and evolve.
